NASCAR HotPass is an exclusive sports package available only on DIRECTV,
beginning with the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series™. NASCAR HotPass uses five
channels to focus on five of NASCAR's top drivers each week of the NEXTEL
Cup Series. 25 dedicated cameras will cover only these five drivers for that
race. Cameras will include an in-car camera, two overhead corner cameras in
turns 1 and 3, a pit box overhead camera and a pit crew shoulder camera
giving you unique access to the drivers during the race. Real time data
tracks the speed, RPMs and other stats. HotPass will also change the way you
listen to NASCAR: each HotPass channel has two NASCAR announcers describing
the action of that particular driver, and you'll also hear communications
between the driver, his spotter and team. Each week, HotPass subscribers
will have access to an exclusive audio and visual NASCAR experience, only on
DIRECTV.

Yes. NASCAR® and DIRECTV have entered into a three-year agreement to provide
this exclusive NASCAR racing package only to DIRECTV customers starting with
the 2007 season.
-
The drivers change from race to race. Some drivers could appear multiple
times dependent on the selection of drivers each week by NASCAR and DIRECTV.
Drivers and teams subject to change each week.
Every NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series points race of 2007 and the NEXTEL All-Star
Challenge are included in the full season package -- a total of 36 races in
all if you purchase before the season starts. Customers that purchase after
the season starts will receive the remaining races on the schedule. The first
race is the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2007. The season concludes at
Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 18, 2007.
Typical network coverage usually follows the leaders of a race for the
majority of the coverage and periodically follows other drivers as warranted.
The network coverage is designed to give a broad view of the race without
focusing only on one or two drivers. NASCAR HotPass, however, focuses on some
of the top drivers each week and only those drivers so you can follow the
every move of your favorite NASCAR racer. One driver will be on each channel
with a total of 5 channels. HotPass also includes network coverage of the race
in a smaller window on your screen so you will not miss out on their great
coverage of the bigger race developments of that race.
If a wreck or mechanical problem knocks a HotPass driver out of the race,
DIRECTV will make best efforts to put in an alternate driver for that channel
if time permits. The alternate racer may not have all 5 cameras.
Two announcers per channel will describe the action from start to finish.
You'll also hear the dialogue between the driver and his team on their
internal communications system. You can switch to the live broadcast audio at
any time.
NASCAR HotPass is available with an early bird discount for two payments of
$39.50 from 12/13/06 - 1/31/07. After that date, the full 2007 season of
NASCAR HotPass is available for two payments of just $49.50. That's just a
little more than $2.50 per race to ride shotgun with the top NASCAR drivers.
Current customers can order with your remote on Channel 215. You can also call
1-800-GET-SPORTS. If you are not a DIRECTV customer, please call 1-800-DIRECTV
or visit your local authorized DIRECTV dealer - Skywave Wireless Internet
at 1419 US 41 N , Calhoun, GA 30701 or call 706-620-0921.
The rescheduled race usually takes place the following day.
Yes. The first race, the Daytona 500, is free for all residential customers on
DIRECTV. It will be a great time to check out this revolutionary way to watch
NASCAR races.
No. All DIRECTV receivers allow you to view NASCAR HotPass channels. However,
some additional interactive features may be included in the package, which
will require an interactive receiver to use those added features. The D10,
D11, HR20 models are all interactive at this time.
